Husk Signs is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. Job responsibilities, skills and qualifications are listed below.
Daily activities include visiting businesses in the Tri-State area to identify exterior sign needs. This may include meeting with the end buyer or working thru sign wholesale businesses throughout the Midwest.
Husk Signs is looking for a team member who enjoys goal setting, establishing priorities, managing their own work schedule, networking and developing relationships. We offer flexible schedules, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm.
The Husk Signs Sales Executive is responsible for meeting with potential customers to understand their needs. This could include a variety of sign solutions such as digital electronic messaging centers, channel letters, monument signs, digital billboards, etc.
The most successful team members are fearless, driven and competitive. They have a systematic or are able to develop a regular routine for prospecting and following up with potential customers. They will ask good questions and make sure they have a solid depth of the problem before offering consultative solutions.
Primary responsibilities:
- Network with a variety of centers of influences to develop sources for potential customer referrals (this will include real estate agents, business developers, commercial bankers, architects, property managers non-profit organizations and a other business owners).
- Conduct site visits and collect photos of the outside of the building to bring back to the design and project management team for sign renderings and proposals.
- Ask relevant questions to better understand the customer needs prior to presenting final solutions.
- Work with our team to present the customer with a comprehensive solution to their sign needs which will include potential renderings of the concept, cost and other expenses or steps involved in the installation process.
- Secure signed documents, paperwork and deposits to collaborate with the project management, production and installation teams to ensure the fulfillment of the customer sign with minimal roadblocks.
- Stay up to date on industry and competitor trends in order to relate best to customer needs and position ourselves to close a higher rate of new business.
- Travel periodically throughout each week to develop new contacts and follow up with other opportunities.
- Meet with leadership periodically to review sales pipeline and discuss strategies for growing and effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
- Enthusiasm, passion, positive attitude and pride in your work.

- Good oral communication skills and ability to show a high level of professionalism and trustworthiness.

Husk Signs is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Sign Installer to join our team. Job responsibilities, skills and qualifications are listed below.
The ideal candidate will have higher than average experience installing commercial signage and takes pride in producing quality work while maintaining a safe job site. This position will lead an installation crew, coordinate activities with project managers and customers to insure projects are done efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction.
The Husk Family is looking for a team member who enjoys goal setting, working at a quick pace to exceed expectations and want to make a difference daily. We offer flexible schedules, Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:00am to 4:00pm.
Hourly pay rate starting at $22/hr or more depending on experience and skillset.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise sign installation crews on commercial projects.
- Install a wide variety of signs including channel letters, monument signs, cabinet signs, wall signs, pylon signs, vinyl graphics, and interior signage.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and installation specifications.
- Operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, forklifts, and other installation equipment.
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and local code requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and customers regarding scheduling and job progress.
- Complete installation documentation, service reports, and punch lists.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
- Train and mentor installers while promoting a positive team environment.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial sign installation experience.
- Previous crew lead or supervision experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating bucket trucks, aerial lifts, forklifts, and cranes is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a reasonable driving record (CDL is a plus).
- Better than average communication and customer service skills.

The Husk Signs Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the execution of multiple sign projects throughout each week. This includes collaborating with the sales team, customers, production staff, designers, vendors and subcontractors while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope from proposal through completion.
The most successful team members are highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities effectively, adapt well to change, have a high attention to detail, and sincerely care about others while enjoying a family-like atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect feedback from the Sales and Marketing Team to prepare proposals and quotations for customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of sign products, services, pricing structures and installation methods.
- Communicate with customers, sales staff and marketing personnel regarding project requirements and timelines.
- Research project locations using Google Maps and prepare site maps and photos to document proposed sign placement.
- Monitor project progress to ensure activities remain on schedule and recommend course corrections when necessary.
- Manage communications via email, phone and text between customers, vendors and internal team members.
- Coordinate project schedules with Production, Design and Installation Teams.
- Meet periodically with leadership to review workloads, priorities and scheduling adjustments.
- Coordinate services with subcontractors, permitting agencies, vendors and project partners.
- Resolve project-related issues including scheduling delays, documentation questions, design changes, permitting requirements and customer concerns.
- Answer customer inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide status updates throughout the life of each project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required, in Business, Project Management or a related field.
- Previous project management experience in construction, manufacturing, building products or the sign industry is helpful.
- Knowledge of commercial signage, permitting processes and installation methods is beneficial.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Research worksite via Google Maps and be able to upload site maps and photos to show where new sign placement will be installed.
· Regularly check-in on sign projects to insure that activities are moving forward and on schedule and recommend necessary course corrections along the way through completion.
· Manage communications via email, phone and text between customers and staff regarding project updates.
· Meet with leadership periodically to coordinate and/or adjust work orders and schedules.
· Coordinate other services with partners, vendors and subcontractors either for Husk Signs or the customer.
· Serve as the primary influencer to resolve issues related to projects such as delays, questions about documentation, requested changes or compliance/permit issues.
· Answer some phone calls throughout the day to respond to customer inquiries and redirect as necessary.
· Meet with leadership periodically to coordinate and/or adjust work orders and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, however not required, in an area such as Business or Process/Project Management
· Some experience in project management, either in the construction, manufacturing, building or sign industry will be helpful.
· A solid understanding of commercial signage, permitting and installation methods will increase your ability to succeed.
